Living In Transit Has Sold Out

Something’s gone wrong at Living In Transit. I’ve known it for awhile, deep down, but I never really recognized it. I just kept burying the feeling and trying to find new ideas and concepts that would make our site better. I would work on the design, come up with a “format” that would hopefully have our posts ranking high in Google and bring in huge amounts of traffic and attract advertisers and let us live forever on ad income on the beach of our choice. Well, we knew it would happen eventually. When we left the States back in October, we had a few thousand dollars in our travel budget. It was understood by both of us that eventually we’d have to stop somewhere and make some money to keep the adventure going. Going on a short, 3-month trip and then flying back home wasn’t going to happen. This was long-term all the way. What we didn’t plan for was what we’d actually do when the fund dried up. A Newbie’s Guide To Budget Travel Packing

Packing is a funny thing in travel. Some people are the meticulous kind, making checklists and having thier pack ready and waiting in a corner weeks before their flight. Others (like myself), tend to throw everything together last minute as they rush to the airport after forgetting to use the bathroom before they leave. Travel takes all kinds. Packing for a long-term budget trip is in many ways far more complicated than packing for a week-long vacation. You’re essentially bringing with you a miniature apartment that you’ll carry on you’re back. You want to bring everything you need, but you don’t want to pack so much that you’re hauling around a ridiculous burden.
